What is Inkjet Print Technology? (in 100 Words or Less)

Inkjet print technology utilizes liquid inks to print an image onto media. Individual ink droplets are strategically dropped onto the media in a “waterfall” of ink.

When colored inks are used this method can provide great color matching and fairly high image resolution making it a suitable solution when branding or color coding are desired.

Some limitations apply to this technology including the requirement for porous media, dry time and potential for bleeding. Exposure to moisture is something to consider when utilizing inkjet, though special media, UV technology, or coatings can help reduce bleeding.
